Tyn Towyn - The Stables Reviews

Sharon
Had a lovely stay in a very comfortable, light and airy house. The property is a little tired in parts and could definitely do with a bit of maintenance I.e. letterbox hanging off, toilet roll holder hanging off the wall, the shower drainage is blocked so has to be pumped during each shower. The property could also have benefitted for a deeper clean between guests we found lipstick on glasses, sand on the sofa and various other bits of dirt such as black mould on window frames. It would have been nice to have towels and robes that had been dried so they were soft rather than feeling like sandpaper. There were only two of us staying so we had enough towels etc however if there had been 4 adults we would not have had enough. Despite this feedback we did have a lovely stay and would definitely come back and stay again.
What a fabulous property. We loved the downstairs layout and the great big table for dining and games. The main bedroom is delightful, you feel as if you are in a turret look out over the fields. Could have relaxed in bed for hours each morning. Wonderful outlook and glimpses of the sea. Look forward to returning.

We stayed over Christmas and had a lovely week there. 4 adults and a dog. Great location, lovely well equipped cottage for all our needs. Couple of minutes walk away from the beach, local shop, Sea Shanty restaurant we ate there Christmas Eve and the food and service was great, a few other cafes and an Indian restauranttakeaway and fish and chip shop. The bedrooms were spacious and lots of storage and very comfy beds. The lounge was cosy with great heating system electric fire. It was exceptionally cold during our stay so we contacted the ownercaretaker who brought round a portable heater for the conservatory, which enabled us to take full advantage of both rooms downstairs. Conservatory overlooked a large field and then the sea. We had lovely afternoons watching rabbits and birds from the conservatory, with a cuppa. Only downside is open garden and we needed to keep our dog on a lead at all times, which was fine for us as we did not sit outside. The hot tub was a lovely addition with towels and robes provided, which was great. Lovely relaxed Christmas, enjoyed by all 5 of us.
The Stables is a very pleasant, comfortable house. The warden was very helpful getting us a couple of things that were missing from the kitchen. The real problem was the bathroom. The shower did not drain properly and needed pumping with the plunger already supplied every couple of days. There was nasty black mould around the shower, there was a small amount of water on the floor near the toilet which reappeared even after wiping up and the radiator did not work so the towels could not dry. This was all such a shame because the rest of the house was lovely and in a good location.

We had a great holiday at The Stables, the house is exactly as in the Sykes photos. The sofa and beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We didn't use the hot tub, so I can't comment on that. The house is in a really nice location and we were given access to the EV charger on the caravan site, making it a stress free week for us. I would definitely recommend staying at The stables.
We have had a lovely week at The Stables 2 adults and 2 children. The location is ideal with a 5 minute walk to the beach, paddle board hire, restaurants and shops. There is plenty of car park space either side of the cottage. The conservatory was great for meal time and playing games. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the field next door and watching the flybys. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day at the beach. The care taker checked the hot tub every 2 days. The bath robes and towels were a great extra for the hot tub. As the details do say there is only one bathroom downstairs and the main bedroom is upstairs. There is a rail on left side of the steeper than usual steps only noticed as had a knee injury. We appreciated the ample storage in both bedrooms. We would have appreciated an outside shower to wash off sand prior entering cottage or hot tub. We had to use the kids' buckets to carry out water to the garden to wash off beach shoes and toys. Overall we had a fantastic time, with lovely views, quiet atmosphere and cosy cottage. Staff were friendly and quick to assist throughout our stay.
Stayed for one week at tyn towyn the stables, found property to be in a perfect location, close to the beach and the amenities in the village. The cottage itself is spacious and well fitted out , the hot tub being a great addition, we had a great week staying here and would not hesitate to book here again
Lovely location, ample parking, great views, well presented Previous feedback hadn't been addressed, so I will feedback also. Ie. Garden furniture in poor state of disrepair, drainage issue with shower tray flooding. Some other smaller issues that owner needs to inspect & rectify. ie.bulbs. Overall, a very peaceful location & we had a great time.
We stayed in the same property just after lockdown in April 2021. The setting and house as a whole are still great and it is such a beautiful area. However, this trip we had no WiFi for the whole time we were at the house and with two teenagers this is expensive in terms of data. The boiler was faulty when we last visited and I must say its not really improved. Its very loud and made some extremely strange and worrying sounds. Finally the shower tray still fills with water like it did in April 2021. I think its time for a few bits to be updated
Lovely cottage we enjoyed our stay very much, the location was perfect.
THE STABLES WAS LOVELY AND FURNISHED TO A GOOD STANDARD, IT WAS TIRED IN PLACES ... THE STABLES WAS LOVELY AND FURNISHED TO A GOOD STANDARD, IT WAS TIRED IN PLACES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN UPDATED AND THE CLEANING OF THE PROPERTY COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, THE COOKER WAS FILTHY AND SHOULD BE HAVE CLEANED, ALBEIT WE ATE OUT MOST TIMES, BUT WANTED TO HEAT A TAKEAWAY ON ONE OCCASION,THE CONSERVATORY A LOVELY BONUS, BUT ALL SAID AND DONE A LOVELY PROPERTY, THE OWNER PROVIDED EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED IN A PROPERTY AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND IT, ITS JUST THE CLEANING ISSUE
Kirsty
Well located and equipped house. As many others have said would really benefit from a fence to enclose the garden. We booked knowing there wasnt one. The main room has 2 twin beds which were zipped and linked with a mattress topper. Multiple bulbs were out and all but one remote had batteries corroded. Meaning we couldnt use the dvd player. The fridge the light didnt work either
It would be ideal if there was a fence along the drive boundary so the dog could be let out. Well equipped everything we needed
Lovely cosy cottage feel and close to beach and excellent pubs restaurants
Absolutely stunning holiday let in a prime location, lots of nice pubsrestaurants within walking distance and very close to the lovely beach. The accommodation was very well maintained with everything needed so a comfortable stay and great for families. The hot tub was a great extra to have. Lots of lovely costal walks close by. Would highly recommend staying at this cottage and we will definitely be returning.
Steven
Good location for beach and eateries Kitchen is poorly stocked, no adequate roasting tin, oven glove nor utensils, bare minimum of everything making cooking an ordinary tea difficult No milk provided on arrival We were aware of there being no gate from other reviews, itd be such a quick win to do and would save worry about the dog not being enclosed. No sense of privacy in the garden. Bed was comfy and generous supply of towels and robes too
Lesley
Lovely cottage, excellent location for easy access to the beach. Hot tub was lovely at the end of each day. My daughter, dog and I had 4 lovely nights there.
Eileen
We were trying to do some bakingcooking but there was a bit of a shortage of utensils in the kitchen. Apart from that, we fully enjoyed the week, especially being so close to the prom, sea and also restaurants where we enjoyed fabulous dishes. We brought our dog, Max and he loved being so near to the beach and sea, and the cafrestaurants are very pet friendlybeing able to take him inside with us and Max was happier to be inside with us. We stayed in one of the Tyn Towyn cottages across the road last year and saw The Stables from there which I booked straightaway as it was so suitable for our needs, having a downstairs bedroom and bathroommy sister and I both have disabilities and it was ideal. The hot tub was a big hit with my Support Worker who brought us but unfortunately we go in for health reasons! I would certainly book again.
A brilliant place to stay. Welcome pack was appreciated. A few things need looking at. Bin in kitchen and bathroom both broken. Kitchen could benefit from more accessories eg mixing bowls, fish slice, more mugs because of dish washer. We were only given two bin liners and two toilet rolls. Some plastic glasses to use in hot tub would be a good idea.
We had a fantastic holiday, cottage was lovely. Loved the hot tub. Would highly recommend.
Overall the property was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub is a great addition but the garden would benefit from a gate especially as the cottage is pet friendly. Laundry facilities on site is a bonus and we really appreciated the welcome bottle of bubble and packet of Welsh cakes. Whilst the location is beautiful and really close to the sea there isn't alot to do in trearddur bay itself. If your happy to take day trips out and about there are lots of things to do within an hours drive.
Had a very enjoyable stay at the stables. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. Nicely situated in a quiet spot but convenient for shops and restaurants. Walks by the bay were lovely and would definitely recommend for a relaxing break!
Rachael
A beautiful cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had to get in touch with the caretaker & he could not have been more helpful & lovely.
Nov 2021. The property was in a superb location, very close to the beach and with a hot tub which we used every day! Wanted somewhere to relax and unwind and the house was a perfect place to do so. At a very windy and cold time of the year, the house was warm and cosy. The welsh cakes and bottle of bubbly on arrival were a lovely surprise too. The bed was large and comfortable and the house clean and tidy. The shower cubicle perhaps needs updating but apart from that, everything was just perfect. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to relax and head off to the beach for log walks and take in stunning views of the bay. 1010
Lovely property, well equipped, clean, beds very comfy. Any contact we had with staff was very positive. Couple of suggestions for improvement would be Footstools in the lounge coat hooks in hall or cupboard enclosed garden for small children and dogs.
A very comfortable cottage in a wonderful location and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there. One thing that needs some attention is the shower cubicle. The silicone needs to be replaced and the metal enclosure needs a good clean, it was quite grubby when we were there. Apart from that a great holiday in an otherwise lovely property.
Had a wonderful week at The Stables everything was as expected. Anglesey was much better than we anticipated. The hot tub was a great facility and very relaxing. The outdoor furniture could have been more comfortable but other than that everything was just wonderful Thanks very much we hope to return
Great holiday. Perfect location but kitchen is not well equipped. Need to put dishwasher on after every meal as not enough plates for the whole day. I like to cook on holiday no mixing bowls, no cake tins and no blender or electric whisk. A bigger pan would also be great!
The accommodation was clean & well appointed and the beds and sofas were comfortable. It was in a brilliant location, being only a 2 minute walk from the beach. Having the hot tub was a real treat. We had a fantastic week there.
Malcolm
Lovely holiday in private area with only short walk to local beaches. Thank you
This is a lovely house in an ideal location. The weather was amazing! We loved the hot tub. We had need to contact the caretaker on three occasions. Each time he responded very quickly and was very helpful. Our only adverse comment is that pillow protectors should be provided fortunately we had seen other guest's comments so had taken our own. We will definitely be back thank you
Christine
There is a note in the cottage book to confirm any problems or breakages that week but no confirmation on those already noted ie the hot tub had broken catches which we did not know if we needed to report on arrival we assumed the person in charge had details.
Claire
Fantastic accomodation, everything you could need was provided. We had an amazing time and will definitely be visiting again The only down side was the fact in the listing it said there was a washing machine at the property however this was a bit misleading as it was actually not in the property but somewhere else on site. Just needs to be made clearer on the listing.
Lovely place to stay. Nice and peaceful. Only a short walk to beachshops restaurants. Short drive to Holyhead and south stacks. Lovely walks to enjoy all the hidden coves. Treardurr bay is perfect.
Paulene
Lovely well maintained complex and the cottage was great with small touches appreciated. However, more information about laundry facilities would have been welcome and was surprised to find no mattress or pillow protectors on the beds. Essential when different individuals are using the beds. Guests advised to take large towels if using the hot tub. Only one robe and small towels available so didnt bother.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the stables. Wonderfully placed location, 5 min walk to the beach and pub. Small sofa but comfortable for the 2 of us. Spotless and hot tub was fantastic to relax in.
A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Prosecco and Welsh cakes on arrival! The cottage was clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The private hot tub was a luxury! We didnt want to leave and would definitely return and recommend. Thank you for a wonderful break.
We checked in to the Stables at 4pm, lovely place, sleeps 4 people comfortably although only 3 in our party & our dog. Bottle of procesco & Welsh cakes as a welcome was a nice touch. Kitchen well equipped with all cooking essentials, gas stove, oven, microwave, utensils, fridge freezer, plus a dish washer which was a luxury as don't have one at home. Hot tub was lush & private, caretaker Kelvin was only a text or phone call away, as I did have to text and ask for WiFi password as had been taken down in the house, but he was helpful and replied quickly. Throughly enjoyed our stay at the stables myself husband sister & our dog. Would definitely recommend the stables for a place to stay & hopefully be able to book and stay again in the future.
Elaine
This is a fantastic holiday cottage ,the only improvement we would have liked would have been a toilet upstairs as we were two couples.
