Excellent property have visited 3 times now and love it! You simply cant beat it. It has everything. One and only downfall is the WiFi i.e. trying to watch Netflix for the kids for example.it constantly buffers and so you end up with restricted TV.

A beautiful building with stunning views! Everything exceeded our expectations, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glassware and equipment. The furniture and furnishings were all fitting with the building and everywhere was clean on arrival! The hot tub was ready for us and a fabulous feature. The whole family stayed comfortably and there was so much choice for who had which room, as well as more living spaces so we were not in each others pockets all the time. The games room was very well equipped for all ages and we used it often. Communication was great and we had a wonderful stay! Local takeaway was great! Hen Hafod was ideal in terms of space and layout for our family group, which was multigenerational. Location, privacy, facilities and amenities were all good. The general upkeep could be better, however. Here are the specific areas that disappointed us on arrival we found the table tennis supporting legs were broken, 3 bowls of some pasta dish were festering in a fridge, the patio furniture cushions were all wet there was standing water in the plastic storage container they were in it took us a whole day to dry these out and the Weber BBQ was disgusting the grill had not been cleaned for a long time. Such a shame, for a truly awesome property that is not cheap to rent to be let down by attention to some deep cleaning and general maintenance. Having a games room and good outside facilities were important reasons for us choosing Hen Hafod over other properties 4 of our party are keen tabletennis players it would be better if we had been informed of the broken table beforehand, to avoid disappointment We booked this property nearly 10 months in advance so to have some facilities not up to standard is not good enough.

Absolutely amazing house, couldnt have been happier with it. Had everything we needed for 12 adults, 3 children and 2 infants! Plenty of things to keep the kids happy. Didnt need to ask the host for anything but Darren, the house manager, contacted before our stay to see if we needed anything. Pictures dont do it justice. We were really lucky with the weather so could sit outside and admire that amazing view!

House was absolutely fantastic. Beautifully clean throughout and the perfect layout for a family celebration. The weather was mixed for us but the indoor games table tennis, darts, pool kept everyone entertained. When the sun did appear the views were stunning. We cooked for 17 people during the week and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this property for any family or group holiday. What an amazing place , we had our daughters hen party here this weekend , there were 15 of us and it was fantastic. The facilities are wonderful , and the gardens are beautifully kept. The house is awesome , we couldnt bet the size of it as pictures never really do them justice, the decor is fab in all the rooms. Close enough back to everything , wonderfully situated. My only comment would be , it needs a spruce up outside on the building walls it looks a tad tired, and keep an eye on the bathrooms they too are looking going towards being a bit tired too. Other than that I am being really picky its an awesome place and I cant wait to go back with our family for Christmas or a long weekend. Oh and Darren the manager is fab too, nothing too much trouble always available on the other end of the phone . Thank you

We all had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hen Hafod, the facilities suited us just fine. The whole idea was to have a Christmas get together although we arrived on the 29th November it accommodated 12 of us with ease. If I were being totally extravagant I would have liked another oven? But how often Id use 3 would be every blue moon

We had a fabulous stay, thank you. The property was clean and spacious and the hot tub was fantastic. The owner was responsive and helpful with our requests. Some feedback that I'd like to provide is that we had a couple of things we needed to contact the owner about how to turn on WiFi and how to turn off the heating. We may not have needed to have done so had this information been available in a Welcome Pack. The owner responded and was helpful, however the maintenance person did not respond, when contacted. A welcome pack with info on how to work the various appliances, turn off the under floor heating it was v hot when we were there as well as about local services, attractions and take aways etc would have been a very welcome addition. Otherwise we couldn't fault our stay.

I would highly recommend this property for a large group. The open plan kitchendining roomlounge area is much larger than it looks on the photos, giving lots of space. The hot tub, trampoline and basket ball net were an asset. Great views.

The house is absolutely beautiful plenty of spacious rooms. Hot tub was a lovely touch and the kitchen open plan was perfect for our stay and even had eggs, cakes, Prosecco on our arrival which was lovely. Few minor things like door handles not secure on a few rooms, not enough toilet roll etc. The road to the house was unexpected like an off road track and a few who stayed got lost along the way. A sign by the main road would be handy for future guests. But the house is worth the drive up the track road. Would recommend and stay again!

This was our 2nd time here. What a place, it's huge. It's not advertised as wheelchair friendly, but it is. We had an electric chair user, with limited mobility and we could take her everywhere she wanted to go. There are some beds with bedframes that a mobile hoist can fit underneath we took our own. Doors are plenty wide enough to get through, all on one level, no stairs or raised door frames. Underfloor heating keeps everywhere toasty. It's so tranquil with spectacular views too. We got an Asda delivery to save transporting our own fooddrink. When in the living area you cannot hear from the bedrooms as it's built in a square with a courtyard in the middle. We absolutely love the place and we never got lost this time

What a wonderful place Hen Hafod is! ! We have just come back from 3 days away with the family and what an amazing time we all had! The house is stunning and the plot its on is even better. There is plenty to do around the house and local walks to keep you busy! The kitchen and open plan living room is amazing looking out into valleys! We couldnt as for a better host then Tony, he was very contactable and he done his best to go above and beyond anything we asked for. Having a host that trusts you and leaves you to get on with things but is always only a text away is amazing! Me and the family will 100 be returning here hopefully the weather is a little brighter next time Thank you again Tony.

This property could be totally amazing if a few things were sorted out and some maintenance done. The windows were very dirty also noted by the previous renters the kitchen needs a deep clean we had to vacuum and wipe out the cupboards as they were filthy. There were not enough wine glasses so we bought 6 more and left them at the property. There were no mattress protectors on the beds which is extremely unhygienic and some of the mattresses need changing as they are past it. The curtains in the lounge are hanging off their hooks also previously mentioned by other renters. The onoff switch on the dishwasher on the island is broken and you have to stick your finger in the gap to switch the machine on not sure how safe this is. Those are all the gripes but we were a family of 3 children and 12 adults and we had a great stay. The photos do not do the house justice. The boot room was fantastic to put coats and walking boots and having a large utility room was a real blessing. There is plenty of space for people to go off and relax and the kitchen is amazing as its huge and so light with windows on both sides. The views are stunning and the kids loved the hot tub which was super warm. Thank you for the Prosecco and welsh cakes left for us which was a lovely touch. All in all a great stay just needs a bit more love and care put into the property.

HenHafod is a lovely holiday property for a large family gathering. It is spacious with open country views towards the mountains. The hot tub was a huge bonus and enjoyed by the family. The games room provided additional entertainment although there wasnt a full set of pool balls. The property was well equipped and clean. We appreciated the complementary Welsh cakes,tea and Prosecco which was a nice touch. However toilet rolls,hand soap and dish washer tablets would have been helpful.
